Description

Pedras Verdes Guesthouse is situated only 3 miles (5 kilometres) from the sea in the still quiet and unspoiled eastern part of the Algarve. Turismo Rural Guesthouse Pedras Verdes blends in harmoniously with the idyllic landscape of rolling hills, olive and orange trees, and white houses dotted around. An oasis of peace, but still close to everything. Pedras Verdes ('green stones') is a beautifully restored old quinta on nearly 5 acres of its own private land. The Guesthouse is a separate wing of the main house and has 6 stylish en-suite double rooms. The rooms are very cosy with each room having its own theme and a spacious bathroom with a bath with shower or a rainshower. The estate has a beautiful garden with winding paths around centuries-old olive and carob trees. The orange and mandarin trees, together with palm and banana trees, give a (sub-) tropical feel. You can relax on one of the sun beds or hammocks around our wonderful, big swimming pool and at night garden and pool are enchantingly lit. Breakfast is sumptuous with fresh ingredients (where possible from our own garden) and is served in the garden in front of your own room.

Facilities

Pedras Verdes Guesthouse has 6 delightful, cosy double rooms which are situated in a separate wing of the thoughtfully renovated quinta. Each room has its own comfortable bathroom with a bath with shower or a rainshower. The rooms are light and spacious, and have a wonderful view of the garden with its fruit, palm and old olive trees. The rooms, named Arabic, Asian, Ocean, Zen, African and Baroque, are individually decorated, giving them each their own unique atmosphere and style. All rooms have airco, free WIFI, a comfortable seat, a wall safe, a fridge and hair dryer and outdoor terrace seating. One room has two single beds, the other rooms have double beds. Turismo Rural Pedras Verdes Guesthouse has a big swimming pool. Car hire can be arranged.

How to get there?

Getting to Pedras Verdes Guesthouse From Faro international airport/Faro town: 17 miles (27 km), 20 minutes drive. Directions from Farao International Airport Leaving the airport, follow the sign 'FARO' at the roundabout (with white sculptures). Take the N125-10 motorway to São Bras de Alportel (signposted as 'SB de Alportel' or 'S Bras'). After around 3 miles (4.8 km) there is a sharp bend, leading to the N2. Proceed on the N2 for 4 miles (6.4 km) and then take the motorway A22 east towards Olhão-Espanha. Follow the A22 for around 7 miles (11.2 km) and then take exit 15, signposted 'Olhão'. At the roundabout, take the first right to Olhão-Quelfes (N398), then again the first right, signposted 'Quelfes', and then turn left into Quelfes. Now pay attention! After only 219 yards (200 meters) past the Quefles' village road sign, take the next sharp right-hand turn (there is a grocery shop at the corner with gas bottles outside). Here starts the green-painted pebbles route. Drive slowly and at the next green stone (at the postboxes), follow the bend to the right. Follow the green-painted pebbles route for 1 mile (1.6 km) until you reach an unpaved road on your left. Take this road and after 165 yards (150 meters) you arrive at Pedras Verdas Guesthouse.
